Renew a Credential

IBHBOT credentials renew every 36 months from the date of issue. Renew before your expiration date to keep your registry status current.

CredentialTo renew, within each 36-month cycle
AHTA Board-approved recertification course, or 48 hours of qualifying continuing education in hyperbaric medicine
AHNKeep your RN or LPN license current, and complete a Board-approved recertification course or 48 hours of qualifying continuing education in hyperbaric medicine
HMPKeep your physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner license current, and complete a Board-approved recertification course or 48 hours of qualifying continuing education in hyperbaric medicine

Renewal resets the 36-month cycle. A DMT-A or DMT-B is suspended if the qualifying license or certification lapses, until it is restored. The full requirements are in the candidate handbook for your credential.

RHT holders renew every two years with 24 CE hours (12 hyperbaric-specific), a current BLS card and 100 hours in a hyperbaric facility.
